Edit bar not showing up for users with edit permissions
Permalink
I've turned on the advanced permissions and have given several groups edit capabilities on a particular page. However, when I login as a user from those groups, there is no edit bar. I've cleared my cache and rechecked my permissions, but still nothing.
Anyone have this same issue?

I'm using the manual permissions overrides so that the page doesn't inherit the permissions of the parent page.
I created a test page and updated those permissions already and it didn't work either.
No JS errors.
I checked the Stacks/Blocks permissions area too and changed it so that members of those groups could add blocks and still no edit bar.
Screenshot of my setup is attached.

hmmm. odd.
Just something maybe worth trying... are you accessing the page directly via site navigation, or from from the dashboard -> sitemap ?
I've had an intermittent bug on some sites (using 5.6.1.2) where the edit bar doesn't always appear for some users on some pages - but weirdly, accessing it from the sitemap makes it appear straight away - I haven't had time to look into what's causing yet - but may be worth trying?

- Have you checked to see if there are any script errors occurring? These can sometimes stop the edit bar appearing.
- Have you double checked the permissions of the parent page (if there is one) - these can have a knock-on effect to child pages.
- You could also test to see if it only happens on that page, or whether it happens elsewhere in the site as well. ie - make a new test page with a different template and parent page, and see if you get the same issue.
