Edit in composer

I just learned about this feature a few days ago. You can choose "Edit in Composer" for any composer enabled page from the site map.

This is nice but it doesn't allow you to edit all pages. If you have too many pages under a single node (as could be the case in a blog) you can't access all pages from the site map, you have to move to page search. Page search does not have "Edit in Composer" from the popup when you click on a page.

How hard would it be to get this working in both places? It seems like it would be really useful. I'm not sure where the best place to submit a feature request like this would be.

I remember @andrew saying something about trying to keep everything in the path of in-context editing when asked about adding it to the edit button in the top left of a page. He also said that it would be very easy and there is nothing difficult about if I remember correctly.

I would also find this feature really nice -- mostly because it would be much easier to direct clients to edit pages this way rather than through the sitemap. Editing in composer also allows you to change page attributes that do not appear on the page itself, like dates and addresses. Is there any instruction on adding an "Edit In Composer" link to the on-page editing menu? Thanks!

Although it costs a little money, I did find this "Webli Toolbar" addon:http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/webli-toolbar/...

I think $15 is worth it considering how long it will probably take me to figure out how to add an "Edit In Composer" button on my own!

You are right! Spending money for these kind of add-ons are money spent rightly...

HereNT (orinator of thread) has the addon Best Suite - Core

It provides a round-trip manager for any type of page with editing through composer.

Yeah, it was a long time after this thread that I came up with that. It saves *so* much time developing things.

Kind of funny how things have changed over the months. From almost no need or desire to integrate composer after the initial publish to composer being used for everything in 5.7 ;)
