Edit Mode

I have 2 computers. One runs Ubuntu and the other Windows, Vista Ultimate. Vista is the one I am suddenly having issues with.
When I try to log into my site, the site loads but not in administrative mode - there is no "Edit page, Add Page, Dashboard, Help or Sign out" menu. It loads as if I am a visitor. I've tried loading my site with Opera, Internet Explorer and Firefox, but it is the same.
If I use my Linux computer that runs Ubuntu, it allows me to enter my site as administrator, and edit as I please.
Can anyone help me figure out why IE is not allowing me to load my site? As I said, I try to login as administrator but there is no edit menu....weird.

Is it possible that the Win machine is set not to accept cookies somehow? You could check whether any cookies have been set in Firefox by Tools > Options > Privacy > Remove individual cookies. Maybe check in there to see if a cookie is getting stored after you log in.
that's not a Concrete5 issue, atleast i don't think so, works fine for me on win 7 Ultimate which uses almost the exact same kernel as Vista, your probably missing something on your pc,

This is a problem i ran into last week.
It tuned out to be some JavaScript that I was including in the head of my template. Try to remove any extra JavaScript and see if this fixes it.
In my case it was a jquery tooltip add on that broke the editing capabilities

I thank you all for your assistance with this matter. It has now been resolved. I had cookies enabled in the browser, however, the security program I use (Computer Associates) had them disabled. With one click of the mouse, the problem is resolved.
Thank you all again.
