Editable block not active when in edit-mode

I successfully converted a site look into a theme. Everything is great, and I have the Nav editable area working as I think it should, but the 'Main' editable area will show the red dashed block around the content, but it doesn't highlight for editing when moused over. Did I do something wrong? Miss something? I attached screen shot.

Did you ever find an answer to this? I am having the same issue.

Thanks,

In my instance, I was loading jquery after the header_required script, but c5 loads It's own instance. When the page made it to that call, it conflicted.

THANKS for the info! In my case, I was using the CSS feature of z-index to try to help ensure that what I wanted in front was actually in the front. This seemed to interfere with the page-edit option (the bocks could not really be selected). I then enclosed that in an if statement for the 'edit mode' as seen in other posts. This worked for almost all of my block areas.
Take Care,
-Steve
