Editing a Page Type after a page has been already been created

Hi
I have created a few pages and then since creating those pages I have edited the page type. I added in a composer control for the content on the page.
This update only shows on new pages that have been created since doing this, on ones I have created before I added in the composer control it does not work.
Is there a way to do this without having to delete the page and creating it again?
