I looked at your instructions. The only thing is I am wondering how to edit the block's background. Is there a way to add a color in any block? Thank you.
Absolutely!
Once your block is created: Enter edit mode on the page, select the block and choose "design" to find options for editing the block appearance.
(chose the background tab and look for the small square to the left of the button that says background image. The small square will open up a color pallet to select from)

Thank you so much. That is exactly what I needed to know. Have a great day.
When editing the content block: Select/highlight image and use the image insert/edit icon in your content editor (looks like a tree). This opens a window that allows some formatting and resizing.
