Editing left hand auto Nav

Hi guys,
at the moment i have auto nav horizontally across the top of my site. When i look at the sitemap, I have the home page....and the 6 auto nav tabs are under the home page.

I want to have another 6 tabs running down the left hand side of my site linking to completely different pages. How do I do this? There must be a simple way?

hi all...thought i would add....the 6 tabs running down the left hand side will be the same on every page. Is it easier if I just insert the words manually and convert to hyperlink?

It will depend on what the 6 different links are? Where are they found in your site map? If they are at the top level like your 6 header nav pages then you are going to have a hard time getting the auto-nav to make that work. However, if your six other pages are under another in your site-map then the auto-nav block will work great. When you add the auto-nav block to your page, fiddle with options until you get the right combo you need. You can add this block to the page type defaults via the dashboard or a global scrapbook.

hi cannon...thanks for the response.
I want the 6 tabs running down left side to be the same on every page. At the moment...the horizontal tab pages are all under the home folder.
The 6 tabs I want to add down left hand side I have not added onto the map yet. Shall I just add them all under one of the folders that are currently under home? I'll give this a go

guys im going insane here.
ok so if I put the six links that I want down the left hand side of the page ... and I list them all under a page in sitemap....if I then go to Autonav and select the second line option they appear. The problem is I want these same tabs to appear on every web page.
If I copy it to scrap book and then try inserting it on another page it doesn't work.
There must be a simple way to do this?

Yeah dude, here you go. Set your auto-nav to display pages "Beneath a particular page" and select the folder from your sitemap that has the 6 pages below it.

Now, you're going to want to add that auto-nav block to the Scrapbook.

Then, follow the instructions to setup Page Defaults here:http://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/usage/handy-trick-with-pa...

Going forward, all new pages will also have those links on them.
