Editing/Linking Buttons

Can anyone let me know how I edit the titles of, and ad links to, the "home", "about", and "search" buttons at the top of the page. I am using the Mendacity theme. Thanks in advance for your help!

Put the page in edit mode. Select edit (page) properties in the edit bar and change the page name. That is where the link names come from.
You can also "add page" in the edit bar if you are logged in. This will let you add a page *under* the current page. If you are on the home page your page will be in the top level. If you are on a sub page the new page will be under that page.
