Enabling sitemap button in editor toolbar

I heard that it's possible to get a sitemap button on the editor toolbar without having to go to the dashboard.

Even when logged in as the admin user I don't see this button. As such my less privileged users require dashboard access to get to the sitemap. How can I enable the button on the editor toolbar?

(I'm using advanced permissions btw)

From the Dashboard:

Sitewide Setting Tab
General
bottom left column of page see "Editing Preferences"

Ive selected the link in editing preferences for sitemap and this shows fine in the toolbar.

The only problem is the dropdown menu on the links for setting permissions, adding page etc does'nt show.
