Enrollment Form or Registration page? Payment options?

Hi, I do a lot of schools and club sites and I'm often asked about Enrollments online, as I am with my current job.

I was thinking of having a simple form block with the relevant information fields.

Then I thought you could do it as part of the Registration to the website, so they "enroll" at the same time as they Register.

After the information has been gathered with either the Form or Registration page which option would be the most useful?

The email address would need to be accessible as would the names and other fields etc.

Just wondering what the best way to approach this is.

The client also indicated a desire to possibly have payment integrated into it as well. Again whats the best approach, maybe ecommerce?

Sounds like Crinte Courses may do the trick:

Although you may have to go beyond that (Advanced forms & data display perhaps?).

mmm yes the data display and advanced forms are wildly expensive so can't really go there. The crinte form looks great but then I see the caveat that it doesnt work with attributes or the gropus in C5. I can't imagine how you could use it then if you can't put registered users into Groups.

Thanks for your help.
