ePub file installation

Hello all,
I'm trying to upload an epub file of an ebook which I will be selling from my site using an add-on which I purchased and works great for pdf files. I get an error message saying invalid file extension--from which I understand that C5 can't deal with an .epub file at all.
Can any one help me out with this (explaining to someone who cannot write any code)? Is there a way to place the epub file in a zip file or something? I imagine that I'll be having the same trouble with uploading a Kindle file.

Try going in to the file manager from the dashboard, then click access at the top.
Then in 'Allowed File Types' you should be able add your file extensions to the list.
