Error when adding blocks/editting content.

I have a freshly installed concrete 5.4.1.1. but whatever I try to do results in an error.

adding a block - error
editting content - error.

I checked all my permissions and file/folder ownerships.
The server error log gives nothing.
I turned of the caching on the enviroment.
Tried it with and without pretty urls.

The error itself gives no information, it's just a pop-up titled error with my entire page content inside it (see screenshot)

it sounds like your install is ganked somehow.

when you click the get started button on the home page here and setup a trial, do you get the same behavior? If so its something to do with your browser and possibly the toolbars you have added to it.

if it works fine on our demo servers, its your install that is missing something, or perhaps your theme that has overridden something there.

is it a custom block, stuff like that happens when you use reserved variables ($bID $cID $c) for stuff.

kinda weird.

It's not a block causing it, I got the error when I had no custom blocks at all, just the basic ones that come with the clean install.

That would make sense but I installed it the exact same way on a test server of our own and it worked without problems, I then moved it to my live enviroment again and get the same error whenever trying to change anything.

Why don't you try re-installing it?

can you post the debug info from sitewide settings?

also, check your server's error log

The Enviroment right? Otherwise there is no info on that page.
Debug is set to Production.

I've attached two of the enviroments, 1 of the livesite on which is doesn't work.
1 of my test enviroment where it does work.

The only difference I notice at first eye is the php-version. I suspect that is causing it but I'm in doubt on it.

Found the problem.

The server my site is running on is also running a core enviroment, although my site has it's own core somehow changes made in that central core are causing the errors on my site.

The central core is an older version and even though it shouldn't have any impact on my site it still did.

Problem solved by replacing the central core. Thanks everyone who tried to help out.

I didn't get this solution. You reupped the /concrete directory again with the latest version? What do you mean by "core"? I'm having the same problem for some reason and am desperately searching for a solution.

Clean install of the latest version resolved the error. I had to migrate all the files, the DB and what else was necessary but it works for now. Can't recommend using the built-in update function of concrete5.
