Exit edit mode 5.4.2.2

While editing: When I return to pages that I'm 100% sure I exited edit mode and published I find the page being in edit mode (Buttons says: Exit edit) but without the dotted lines around the blocks and ability to edit. I then have to exit edit mode, publish and re-enter edit mode to be able to make changes. I found this behaviour on several sites I built.

Any ideas?

I have occasionally found similar. I have pretty much ignored it as its not a problem unless 2 administrators are making edits and can lock each other out.

It may be worth a look through the bug reports to see if it is an official bug.
