I would like to know whether it is possible to add advertisement blocks to the left and right hand side of my websitehttp://www.ilovelondon.co.

I do not want my ads placed in the main content area or the right or left sidebar.

What I'm mostly looking to do is use the whole width of the page, and add an extra column to the left and right side of my site. I also want to be able to edit these columns easily, the same way I can edit the normal content area and sidebars.

I have added an attachment to this post to show you what I mean.
