File manager not working
Permalink
Hi all,
I have a site that will not allow me to upload files. I have set all of the correct permissions at the server. I have used FTP to place the files in the incoming folder and set the permissions there as well. When using file manager>upload files, it shows no files in that folder.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Yes sir - it is just a jpg file
This may be a silly question but is your folder located in - /home/yoursitename/public_html/conc/files/incoming
I just found this thread, maybe it'll help you?!

You may also want to re-check your file permissions again or failing that; contact your hosting company to see if they have made any changes recently.
I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help; Maybe someone else can chirp in here?

I see you mentioned you checked the permissions in that folder. How you set it may vary from one hosting environment to another depending on whether the system account for the web server is the owner or a member of a permission group. My suggestion (if you haven't already tried it) is to just *temporarily* the permissions wide open and see if that changes anything. If there is no change, that would effectively rule out a permission issue. Don't forget to reset the permission restrictions as soon as you're done testing.
Hi and thanks for replying,
I have changed the permissions to 777 and it didn't do a thing. Actually according to Hostgator it blocks if using 777. when changed to 777 you get a 404 page. set it back to 755 and the page comes up.
Thanks for your suggestion though. This is driving me crazy. I only need to load one graphic and I can finish this job. It's always the easy stuff that creates problems
Cheers

More info. I have actually loaded the file in the incoming folder, viewed it and gone back to the file manager and it doesn't see the file in the incoming folder. Crazy!!
The default list should consist of the following-
