Find and remove blocks types across multiple pages

Hi Guys

New to the forums and relativly new to C5, I'm from a Joomla background but have recently started building client sites in C5. I have to say I have fallen head over heals and love C5 - a great product and community! Just trying to adjust from Joomla work flow to C5 workflow.

Is there a way that I remove a particular block type from multiple pages in one place at the same. i.e I'm looking to remove every instance of the Form block type across the entire website.

I have looked in Block Types from the Dashboard and clicked on Forms but all that shows is how many instances of that block there are across the site, there is no way to manage them and remove them from all pages without uninstalling the core block?

Appologies if this has been asked befored.

Any help would be great.

For most addon blocks you can uninstall a block type and then reinstall it. I have no idea if that would work with the core forms block. Sometimes removing something core is a one-way trip. If you are thinking of doing that, best to try it out on a test site before using it in anger.

A useful free addon is "Where's my block?". It gives you a dashboard page to find all blocks of a type and links to the pages.

Thanks for this, John. I did try uninstalling the block which worked, but of course the block was completely gone then, so not really a good solution.

I'll take a look at the add-on you suggested and see how that works.

I'm sure I've read something about this in the docs but just can't remember where or how!
