Fishing for ideas

My customer would like to get a simple to edit news page, where the latest news goes to the top of the page and doesn't require moving. So far the system has just been using some scrapbooked blocks and a bit of clicking, unfortunately my customer is a bit of a computer newbie and keeps moving the wrong block.
The real question is does anyone have a decent way of doing news pages? Oh - and my customer refuses to buy any blocks. :(

Yeah, very cheap customer. (fair enough, only a very small company!)
It worked a treat thanks! Customers happy, for now..............

I would use the blog block that you can get in the marketplace. Very good. (not the simple blog as not used)
You can see we have used it on this site we built in C5:
http://www.excointouch.com
Go to the news section and you will see it created truncated posts and then clickable to the full article. It auto generates an RSS feed so we also have an rss feed reader on the homepage pulling in the headlines.

Oh a cheap customer heh? :P Or is it for an instution?
Well you're doing it wrong anyway.
Just add a "page list" block to /news and choose to show the recent pages first.
Then let your customer add pages beneath /news and well that's all. No more confusion.
