Flash over edits issue

Overall an amazing CMS. Love it. One issue that is maddening is embedding flash videos, whether from vimeo or elsewhere...once you embed them, it's impossible to edit the page as the flash displays over everything.
Even adding this:
<param name="wmode" value="opaque">
doesn't help. Any ideas? I can't seem to find more people bitching about this which is surprising.
