Form not sending email to me

I have installed a form athttp://www.site-rite.net/index.php/contact/client-form/... . . I have edited the form by clicking "Edit Form/Options/ "Notify me by email when people submit this form"/ . . I have entered my email address there, and alternately, a "mailto:my-email.com" link.
Also another page is supposed to open after the person submits. That does not happen. I do not receive a confirmation email, but a generic server page comes up saying the page does not exist. what gives? thanks

Do the messages show up under the dashboard? (index.php/dashboard/reports/forms/)

Also, have you tried setting it so it won't be redirected to another page?

No messages or reply's there. . Setting it to not be directed to another page did not solve it either. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Checked the server error log on it?

the form isn't submitting, thats why your not getting emails,

re-upload the /concrete directory
siterite replied on at Permalink Reply
Do you mean re-upload the whole concrete folder with the gazillion files and multiple folders in it? If so, will this undo the site-construction I have done already? Thanks

yes, just the /concrete folder, it should not undo anything you have done,

I was having some trust issues, so after another look at the folder structure, I am thinking you mean replace/re-upload the "concrete" folder which resides within the "concrete5.4.1.1" folder, and not the whole "concrete5.4.1.1" folder itself. That, I will try.

I replaced the whole "concrete" folder. It did no harm, but no good either. When I click on the submit form button I get a server page saying: "Error 404: File Not Found
The requested page is not found. This may happen due to the following reasons: Page or file is outdated, renamed, moved, or does not exist. . You typed the address incorrectly, . . Please contact your webmaster . . .etc.

I deleted the form and started over, made a new one, bt smae message appears. I also cleared my computer and browser cache. So, is there some glitch in the form function? The rest of the site works/looks as I intended it to. Thanks

After replacing it run an "upgrade"

just go towww.www.yoursite.com/tools/upgrade?force=1... orwww.www.yoursite.com/index.php/tools/upgrade?force=1...

if you uploaded the same /concrete folder it still upgrades, this might fix missing pieces in your database

I used the second url you suggested. Message was I am already using the latest version, but I ran the upgrade anyway. (message: "Upgrade to 5.4.1.1 complete!") What else to do? Thanks

I contacted my host/server "Directnic. this is what they replied:- - - "I was not able to find the directories nor the file with your form code on the server. Did you install the form as a plugin?
-The page in question:
http://www.site-rite.net/index.php/contact/client-form/...

There is no contact nor client-form directory on the server. - - - So does anyone in this concrete forum know what that means to me and to the concrete form install?

This quest concerning the form problem is not getting solved and maybe getting a bit too tedious to read through and respond to, so I am going to start a new post again, at the point this one left off. Still no solution. Thanks all, for your help.

The form is in the /concrete/ blocks folder, there is a directory called "external_form" there. BUT, My host (Directnic) says "The script isn't setup properly". . When you submit it's trying to go to site-rite.net/index.php?cID=79&bID=154&arHandle=Main&ccm_token=1296236483:4bfa44c846c41bb36984bbe0d3ed4ec3&btask=passthru&method=submit_form#1296067738 which doesn't exist. DirectNIC does not provide third party script configuration/installation/maintenance" (end) . . .SO, I think I will just have to take the form off of the page until I find a solution. I would like to know If there is a bug in the form script, but it is beyond my skills to find it. If the form process actually works for anyone, I would like to hear about that also. Thanks

so did u start a new post? and if where? i have the same problem:-(
siterite replied on at Permalink Reply
I did start a new post a month or so later but still got no solution. I have not tried purchasing the extended form for $30 or whatever it costs now, but that may also encounter the same problem. I contacted my host Directnic, and they said it was not a problem on their end. I have gone back to using Dreamweaver to make my own forms. For what it is worth to you, the form function using "CMS Made Simple" works great on another site of mine (www.rasgueo-rest.com) with my same Directnic host, no problem, but I thought C5 was a somewhat easier CMS for a non-coder to use overall. Good luck.
