Get into edit mode

I finally installed my first concrete5 site, and am looking at it for the first time.
When I sign in as administrator I don't see an "edit mode" button. I see one in the screencast about editing, but not when I sign into the brand new site. Sure makes me feel stupid. What have I done wrong / what do I do?

if you're logging in with the admin account, sometimes concrete5 will dump you into the site dashboard.. try return to website on the upper right if that's the case.
"Go back to website" is exactly right. Glad now that I have time to explore what's looking like an excellent cms. Thanks frz!
