Getting a Database Connection error when trying log in, but my site is running fine!?

Hi all!

I'm in a pickle here... My clients website is up and running fine on the front end.http://www.lasfloresresort.com

When I try to login to the dashboard, enter user/pass, I get an error :

"Unable to connect to database.
A database error occurred while processing this request."

Any help would be much appreciated, client needs to make some changes and is on my ass!

Did this problem just happen recently?

Have there been any changes made to the site?

How long was it running without problems?

I ask because I wonder if your web host is having problems.

You are correct, it turned out to be a problem with the host/server. It was really weird because the site was up live but couldnt login. Also I made a few changes to CSS via FTP to test and the changes were not showing on the live site. I was tripping out!

Turns out the host had to reboot to get the DB working again, still dont understand how the site remained live but its all good now.

The site was most likely running from the cache.

Ahhh, didnt realize that they whole site could run from the cache. I was freaked out!
