Global navigation changes
Permalink
Hi!
I hired a guy to build my site a while back, so I'm new to everything that has to do with Concrete 5.
I'm currently trying to remove some pages from my global navigation, and tried to do so by removing them from the sitemap, but they are still there in my global navigation.
How do I change names and/or remove menus/pages from the global nav?
My site:http://www.fellowshipracing.se
Thank you!

Thank you gondwana!
I don't mind deleting it from the sitemap since I'm removing those pages from the site entirely.
However none of your tricks worked for me....
I would like to remove the global menu parts name "Hästar" and "Tränare", rename the one called "Om Företaget" and add a new page into the global navigation called "Kontakt".
Do you have any other tips on how to do this?
Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I should have looked more closely. The menu is not a native concrete one, but is a custom job based on a separate product ('EarthlingTwo'). You could be running a custom c5 theme.
My approach would be to search (using something like grep) to find which files contain the text of interest, and work out what to do from there. But that presupposes that you can get convenient access to the files, and that you're comfortable with such geekiness.
There's probably a way to get closer to the truth via concrete's UI, but I don't know what it is. Hopefully someone with more experience can help.

If you're still seeing deleted things on your site, it could be because they're being cached. You can clear the cache, and tell concrete5 not to cache things for the time being, from the dashboard.
If you want to hide pages from navigation, see whether the page 'setting > attributes > exclude from nav' works for you. You may also need to edit the autonav or whatever block.
