hard time with content block - Edit HTML Source
Permalink
Hello everybody,
I've been working with the content block with no issues until one day I was trying to edit the HTML source and/or image button where my FF3 (mac/windows) IE8, Safari (mac/windows) and Chrome (mac/windows) start to download HTML page!
Moreover, the same website I was running it locally for testing and I don't face this problem however everything is the same...

Appreciate your help.

I have had the same problem... did you find a solution?
Yea man..it was all about other JS/CSS libraries I used...
Best practice was removing all css/js in my page and debugging step by step...
good luck,

Right ok.
Kind of hard now the website is launched and I can only replicate this on their live server, not locally.
To install a second version on the server will cause no end of hassle with the hosting company.
I appreciate it was a while ago but can you remember more specifically what the bug was? Would give me a good place to start.
Thanks for the speedy response

I understand, If you did any customization on the header_required.php try to reset. Just disable all your theme JS/CSS and load only C5 js/css. If all back to normal, then try to add your libraries one by one while trying to work on the edit mode...
PS. make sure you clear your cache and C5 cache itself. Working on ff+mac sometimes is not recommended since the ff+mac does not actually clear all caches even if just did..

So just bumping this thread as the solution mentioned by Ta2Ta2 has done nothing for me. I disabled all external stylesheets and JS but the HTML view in the TinyMCE editor wants to download.
I am wondering whether it is a server side issue as it works correctly locally... has anyone else had this issue?
I may post another thread... but this is a bump in general anyway.
(Ta2Ta2 – thanks for your earlier responses.. understand if you don't have any other suggestions :)
