Has installing an addon ever caused add injections?
Hi,
Recently I was having issues with the usage of a block. The developer of the block assisted by giving me an upgraded version of the addon. After installing the block I have begun to experience add injection. Basically, when surfing the web, words or phrases with either become highlighted, or phrases will be inserted all together. I was just curious to if anyone has ever had an issue with developers giving malware in the form of addons? I will not give the specif block or the developer for the reason that if the installation of this block is unrelated to the malware, I would hate to slander his good name. It is simply that immediatly after uploading the addon that this annoyance occured.. So has anyone else had an issue with this??
Also I realize this might not be the appropriate medium to ask this as it is unrelated to concrete5, but could any tech savy people tell me how to get rid of this issue and maybe how to prevent this in the future? If you work for concrete5 and need to know which addon I am speaking of, please pm me, but I would prefer not to mention names until it is conclusive that the developer is to blame as the developer did seem very helpful but I would hate this to happen to others if he is to blame..

I have run a virus scan (also I have a mac if that changes anything), It has come up negative for malware. Is there anything other option I have?
The definition of Malware is varying for different antivirus program. Sometimes I have also faced with such problems. They are trying to scan the javascript files and often caught it as suspicious. But in real it is not. I'm not sure what happen in your end. But this is occasionally happen in my end.
