Have Pages open in new window

I Know I can't make a HTML or content link with _blank as the target.

But, how to I make a page or external link in my sitemap (and nav bar) open in a new window?

Please help

I have this same request... when creating an external link in the menus, i want to be able to control whether links open in a new window or not.

when using the domain mapper plugin, i want to be able to create hard links which are really to the same site (its hard to create a HOME link with the domain mapper without getting confused with multiple "home" pages). So these need to open in same window. In other cases I have menu items which go to sister websites - these need to open in a new window.

any suggestions here?

thanks!

you'd probably have to make a custom template for whatever block, or i suppose you could do it with some fancy javascript adding that's run at the pageload.

This was apparently fixed in 5.4.1 with a checkbox to make it open in a new window, but I have yet to get it to function properly.

My site has several external links in a quicklinks menu as well as the main nav, but none of them will open in a new window.

I have several external links that were created via sitemap that open in a new window just fine. I am using the stock default theme on concrete5 Version 5.4.1.1

I did notice that IE8 opens a brand new browser, whereas Firefox 4 opens a new tab.

Not sure how to recreate the issue on my systems. I can do some limited testing if anyone has any suggestions.

I have a custom theme applied to my site, but I did add the external link via the sitemap.

The site is here -www.www.corporateprdev.com/btes... - and I have a screen grab of the link's edit box attached.
