Header nav links don't work

I've added three pages in addition to Home. All of them show up on the nav bar, I've added content to each, and all are visible and accessible from the Dashboard Site Map. One problem: when I go to the website and hover the mouse over my nav bar, none of the pages register as links -- the bar may as well not exist. I can't navigate between pages on the site itself, and I have no idea why!
Okay, I found the answer to my own question. Turns out the header image appeared to be behind the nav bar, but the block was larger than the image and just barely overlapped the nav links. So while the block looked like it was in the background, it was actually making the links inaccessible. The links worked, it was an unrelated block that needed fixing.
