HELP! TinyMCE Internal Server Error

On my current installation of 5.4.1.1, I'm getting an error EVERY time I attempt to edit the HTML from the tinymce dialog or if I try to edit an image's properties from the same dialog. No matter what I try, I'm getting this error, and it is making editing my content impossible!

I've seen this before, but I cannot recall how to fix it, nor can I find any information on the problem by searching the forums. Please help, someone!!!

Thanks,
D.

Does your whole screen go to the error - or is it in a popup box? Does it give any other information? What's in your error_log?

Good questions. First, attached is the screenshot of a typical dialog that opens for tinymce, the second is the error (it is in a popup box, to answer your question, simply!)

My error_log, strangely, shows NOTHING!! (Except for many weeks ago, isolated errors from back then.)

Thanks for the assistance!!

Sadly, this didn't work. This all started after upgrading to 5.4.1.1 -- I replaced the tinymce dir in the js dir in the new, updated concrete directory (within the updates dir.)

This all gets SO confusing after an update! (Not to mention needless server bloat, by duplicating so many files in other directories!) Further, doesn't that make the server work harder by having to traverse yet another set of directories to look for the correct file to use?

I'm very confused on that count, but I know that is off-topic, and something many others share the frustration. I wonder, btw, if there is a definitive answer as to what should be done with that directory, after the upgrade.

Anyway, this, unfortunately, did not work for me. Should I replace tinymce with an even older version?

Thanks so much for taking the time to help -- I do hope someone (Franz? Andrew?) may have an answer for me!!

Just to explain - C5 doesn't have to traverse another set of directories. After you update, a line gets placed in the site.php file to say which version of C5 to use. The idea was to enable an upgrade without wiping out your previous core and any changes you may have made. But after the upgrade, C5 will only look in the latest directory and your previous Concrete directory basically becomes an archive. If you like, you can delete that line from site.php, delete the contents of your updates folder, delete your old concrete folder and just upload the concrete folder from 5.4.1.1. (** Note: Back everything up before doing that and I take no responsibility blah blah blah... :>)

I think when Mike advised you to reupload the core, he was probably referring to the whole C5 concrete/ directory, not just tiny_mce. The problem may not be in tiny_mce itself. So give that a try. I wouldn't mix and match tiny_mce versions and C5 versions. Stick with the matched versions...

I did just now, thanks for the reminder! (and the explanation on the update directory)
