Hosting a forum inside my Concrete5 site
Permalink
Hi all,
I have an installation of Concrete5 at the root of my account, and I just now installed a forum in a /forum folder of my web root. But when I go tohttp://<site>/forum, I get the front page of the Concrete5 site. It looks like there is a lot of fancy PHP code that routes a requested url to an actual file. Can someone please show me how to routehttp://<site>/forum to my forum directory? Thanks in advance for your help.

1. My forum is software ishttp://www.simplemachines.org/
2. No, I didn't put anything in my concrete5 sitemap for the forum. I actually want the forum to be invisible from the concrete5 site. The forum is only available to a few visitors who have its direct URL.
3. I don't know about "pretty urls"... when I navigate around my site, nothing changes in the address bar.
4. The site itself ishttp://foundationcr.org/ if you want to check it out.

It looks like your hosting company has sethttp://foundationcr.org/ as a domain mask forhttp://75.125.60.13/~founda90/index.php,... which is the actual address for your site. You'll need to contact your hosting company and your registrar (who actually may be the same) to get your domain pointing to the nameservers of your hosting company.
Well that explains it :-) Thanks for the help!
-what forumsoftware you´re using?
-is there a page called forum in your concrete5 sitemap?
-are you using pretty URLs?
- a link will be good!
