How do I move the Site Name/Logo from original position?

I have read many posts about how to change the Site Name to a Logo.
But I am curious is it possible to move the Logo/Site name?
I am currently using a free theme called Rigid Light. I want to move my Logo more to the left and away from the original position it was in.
Any ideas? Also is there anyway to change the color of the Rigid Light background?

Most themes include some customization options, so I would try Pages & Themes -> Customize button first. Otherwise you'll probably need some experience with CSS & HTML as well as editing theme files.
