How do you add a news feed?

Hi I'm new to concrete5 and i was wondering if any 1 knows how to use the RSS feed dis player?

That works in edit mode but if im out of edit mode I get this. You don't have permission to access this RSS feed. any ides
Sounds like a permissions problem, check the pages linked in your RSS are not restricted so that "Guests/Public" can not view the page.
If so make sure all the pages are viewable by the public and it should start working.

Ok so you have a rss feed of all your pages below the news page(as an example)
The Page_type we will call news_article
Check the permissions on all the pages directly under the news pages, I am assuming they are all of page type "news_article"
If they inherit their permissions from the page_type you will need to do this in the dashboard->Pages and Themes->Page Types
If they inherit permissions from the parent page, then on the news page select edit->permissions,
Once you have the permissions dialogue open
Make sure that in the box that appears
"who can view this page" ensure that Guest is ticked, then click save.
And publish my edits

This creates a link that you can allow people to click on then.
The RSS will match the output of the page list so if you want to show articles, you would should all pages under the news page.
If you add a page description this is also added within the RSS list as the description.

Of course this is all default and you can chop and change the templates to display what ever information you like but it works out of the box
