How to add a block to Global Stack

I've just loaded up concrete5 Version 5.5.2 and playing around with the new version - I was use to the Global Scrap Book and now I cannot seem to get to the "Global Stack" to do what I want.

It gives me the Add Dialog box but I am unsure as what to enter to access the Global

One function I did (and want to now) was to change the "My_Site_Name" to an image block a logo

Any Help, Direction Much appreciated.

Add the block to the Stack, click on it, hit custom templates, there should be a textbox there, type in My_Site_Name.

I think thats what you were looking for.

I'm not seeing any defined areas under Global
No global areas created yet.

I loaded without the samples (if they show up by default there)

I've just watch the video so now I'm aware to the difference between scapbook and stacks - I'm ok with it
but cannot seem to find the "Site name" element or how to add it to the global area to be referenced

Do I have to add the Global Area directly to the page first? In code.

The default themes do not have global areas. Just make a new stack.

Ok thought so

- I added "Site_Name" as a new stack and added Image but it is not showing (Cache cleared). Also I went into System Settings and "Blanked" out the Site Name contents.

Is "Site_Name" the right variable ??
