how to make a form in two colums?

I'd like to create a form that has two columns rather than one single one. There doesn't seem to be any way to do this with the standard form block. Maybe I need to use an external form, but I don't know how they work. I'm afraid I have no knowledge of html code or anything like that. If someone could explain to me (in layman's terms!) how to do it I would be very very grateful.

This is going to be difficult, if not impossible to accomplish without html and css knowledge. Its not something that is built into any form block that I knowof.

what do you mean in two columns? if you are using a theme with two columns why couldn't you put half the form in one and the other half in the other? Or do You want questions on one side and answers on the other? a little more info would be helpful.

Sorry, I didn't mean columns as in the layout of my theme, just the design of the form itself. I want to avoid having to scroll down to get through all the questions, and would therefore prefer to have the questions rearranged into two columns. Something like this:

As I said, I don't have html knowledge, but I can follow instructions! I was hoping that this might be a relatively simple thing for someone who knows how :)

Unfortunately, this is one area that concrete 5 hasn't had much success making user friendly (yet). The form block had some clunky hard coded layout that is not easy to work with. I believe Remo created this tutorialhttp://www.codeblog.ch/2009/07/concrete5-form-layout/... which can give you an idea how to make changes to the form block, but this will not be an easy read for someone with no background knowledge.

I believe there is also a form block for purchase available in the marketplace, but I have no experience with its capabilities.

Finally, as you mentioned initially there is the external form idea. You could try building your form with a tool likehttp://www.jotform.com and then take the html they give you and copy it into an html block on your site.

Sorry I can't give you a full step by step right now. I'm writing this from my phone.

Just wanted to let you know that the jotform tool does not allow a two column form layout either, so you can throw that idea out!

Thanks for the comments. I guess I underestimated how tricky this is to do.... Now thinking the external form idea might be the best way to go. I haven't yet come across a free form builder that lets you create columns. But if I can manage to find one (or decide to pay for one), how then do I go about using the html they give me to put it into my site?
