How to make Layout widths stick

Just wondering if anyone else has run into this: When I make a layout, and then change the widths of the columns by moving the sliders, it never stays when I publish the page. It always goes back to equal widths. Thoughts?

i've been trying to follow all the bug reports on the layouts package but i haven't noticed anyone else mentioning this before. if you send me (through my profile page) the URL and login info for your site i'll have a quick look though.
