How to Save an HTML Change

I am editing the HTML on our home page and I can make the change, but it doesn't seem to be saving the changes. What am I doing wrong?

Are you using the HTML block, or the content block?
I'm in Firefox, hit Cntrl+Shift+C in inspector mode, in the HTML area. It lets me make the change but I can't save anything.

The HTML that you are editing is a downloaded copy used to display the web page on your computer. This copy can be changed, but the changes will not affect the HTML of your website. Once the page is refreshed, the changes made to the copy will be gone.
To change the HTML of your website, you will need to edit the website files that are on your web server. This can be done in different ways, most commonly FTP or through a web host control panel.
