How to set default page with multiple auto-navigation menus.

I have two navigation menus for each page of my site. When I select a menu option on the top nav, I would like the user to be routed to the first page of the side navigation.
Please look at my diagram below. The letters are the top nav options, and the numbers are the side nav options. An = sign around them means they have been selected.
A =B= C D E
=1= The page content here
2 should be sidenav page =1=,
3 not page =B= even though
4 menu item B was clicked.

Anyone have a solution to this?
