How to use functions from item_list.php

Hello all,
I'm desperately trying to sort out a list of custom objects from the Addon (Custom Objects Demo) and after trying everything possible, I'm here to ask an expert to help me out.
I want to display my custom objects by their first letter in order, so from A to Z. I know there is an item_list.php in concrete/core/libraries/ folder that has SortBy functions. I just want to ask how to use these functions, as I have really no idea, and after searching on Google and here on forums I found: nothing helpful.
I just want that my page type custom object list (from the addon) displays the damn objects by titles from A - Z.

Yeah, I couldn't access the old thread for a while so I created a new one, I thought it was deleted.. Well anyways to anyone who has the same 'problem' with sorting, look at the link bbeng89 posted, there is a long discussion and guide how to do it!:)
