http://www.mydomain/index.php/london (how can I remove index.php)?!

Hi,

So the title says it all.

When I add a page on my home page, and write london as the Alias, the URL that is generated is:http://www.mydomain/index.php/london...

How can I remove index.php from the URL, making it a straightforwardhttp://www.mydomain/london?

Many Thanks

Paul

You need to enable 'Pretty URLs'

Go to 'Dashboard' > 'Sitewide Settings'
Enable 'Pretty URLs' in the 'Linking' section (top right).
You will now get a piece of code to copy to your .htaccess file.

Good luck and welcome to the community!

I was just wondering if it might be possible to activate pretty urls by default during installation. The script would have to probe for mod_rewrite support and make an addition to .htaccess accordingly. So it should be do-able.

Anything I forgot?
