I log in but no editing toolbar shows

I downloaded concrete5. When I enter my admin password and log in it goes into what should be the editing mode but does not show me as "logged in" but rather just keeps asking me to log in again and again. Will not enter edit mode. Have reset password multiple times but I knew that wasn't the problem as it says when you have the wrong password. Seems like a bug is purposely installed to force contacting(and paying) for support. If that is the case, don't lie and say something is free. I don't mind paying but I tried concrete5, well, wanted to try it. Looks like I won't be purchasing anything from them as I can't even enter edit mode. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Chris,

Is this a download from this site and hosted on a own server or did you do a local install? Did you copied the password the install gave you and edited it via the dashboard?

Btw this is really a great CMS, it will be a shame if you leave it unwatched because of this error, which will be 9 out of 10 a human error.

That sounds like you have mixed up the admin password. For the current version out of the box, when you try to log in and you enter the wrong password, it DOESN'T say you have the wrong password, it just re-displays the login page. That might be a point of confusion.

Look at the url of the page... is it stuck onhttp://localhost/index.php/login/do_login/... ?

As Vince said, Concrete5 is a really great CMS. The system rocks, and so does the support on these forums by members and the Concrete5 team.

To suggest that a bug is introduced on purpose... come on now... be polite!
