Ideas for eBook addon – Anyone?

Hi All,
I have a client who wants a basic 5 page type site, name, rank and serial number sort of thing but with a link to a 50 page book that people can read online.
It has to be easy to read with navigable chapters etc.
I'm posting this for ideas anyone may have as the best way to approach this.
I'm thinking of a slider addon as the basis for the book but it would be really handy if the slides could be linked in some way so that if you deleted three paragraphs on slide no 16 everything else would automatically re- flow backwards.
It would be quite a sophisticated addon to be able to do this I think.
Any ideas about this would be greatly appreciated.
