Image block vs content block?
Hi all
Now that c5 has column layouts (amazing work by the way!), it's no longer necessary to use content blocks to create layouts (eg text with a right-aligned image - now, an image block can be put in its own column).
However, the image block doesn't give the same control over the style of the image as the content block does (presumably it is TinyMCE which provides that extra functionality, e.g. image borders and extra CSS).
What then is the point of the Image block (apart, perhaps, from onstates)? It seems to offer less than the content block.
Is it reasonable enough to use a content block and insert only a single image into it?
Any ideas appreciated, and great work as always with 5.4 :)

i generally put an image in the content block myself unless i need rollover state functionality.
yeah, I don't even install this block anymore.. Removed the line in concrete/controllers/install.php to get rid of it without using advanced permissions.
If you add images in the content block, do you really copy all those URLs? The image block allows me to browse my file manager, the content block only gives me the option to type the complete URL, so I have to open image browser inside a new tab to copy the URLs. I find this very annoying.
So I always use image block.
Anyways I haven´t found out how to add columns to content block

You can browse the file manager with the content block - just click Add Image in the c5 toolbar (as opposed to the TinyMCE toolbar).
TBH the image block does nothing (apart from rollover states) that the content block doesn't do.
That said, I have on one occasion altered the image block to show the image's alt tag as a formatted caption, but that's another use entirely.
