Image Crop in File Manager

Am I the only one that can't get the crop proportion unlocked to crop only one dimension?
I click on the button and it doesnt do anything and grabbing the crop 'corner' and moving it only permits cropping at the same aspect ratio.

Testing with concrete5 8.3.1, I was unable to reproduce this.

Just tried a fresh install using elemental and got the same result. So... its a server thing? Can't imagine somehting this simple (maybe it's not) would be server subjective.

Hiding my head... I was looking for the icon to change instead of just the buttons background changing. It must have been coincidence that every time i tried the corner grabbers it was "locked".
