image/document file replace - a useful feature?

Just had to upload a revised image to our C5 website and had an idea for a feature that would be nice to have: update an existing image/document in the "File Manager."
Old way: File Manager > upload new image, delete old image, go the the page that uses it > edit content, place new image
New way(?): File Manager > click on old image thumbnail, select "replace" > upload new image
Using C5 is a blast, and I hope that this suggestion doesn't come across as a complaint. Just throwing it out there...

I tried to do a replace in File Manager, on an updated (PDF) file, but even tho File Manager shows that the file has been replaced with my newer, updated file when I click on that file on my website it still goes to the old one. How come? What I did was:
File Manager> click on old file thumbnail, select "replace">upload new image.
It says that it uploaded successfully. You can even click on the file and see that the new updated version is there, but it does not pull it in on the actual website.

Browser and/or server cache issue?

Hi. I don't think so. I cleared my cache and my history. the c5 browser is finding the file. In fact, if I click on the file name itself and do a download, there it is. the correct file has been downloaded. It is just not showing up when I try to use it on my new website.

Reviving old threads might be a major no-no, but I've been experiencing the EXACT same problem. No solution to this was ever discussed here...

You might want to try re-scanning the image (click on it in the file manager, choose "Properties" from the popup menu, click the "Rescan" button at the top-right of the window that comes up).
