Import into Concrete5?

Permalink 1 user found helpful
Hiya,

I have an existing wordpress site and am entertaining the idea of switching to concrete5. The reason for this is because of the simplicity of editing pages etc.

So, my question is...is there a way (other than sql...because I suck at creating mysql queries) to import existing articles and comments into a 'news feed' or 'blog feed' in concrete5?

Yes. There is a WordPress site importer in the Marketplace for free.

Anyone have an easy button? I'd be pushing it now :)

The bad news is, the link you gave won't allow me in...and search on the addon site for wordpress results in 2 things that aren't an import tool.

So, while this is the best answer, the link doesn't seem to work...do you have an updated link?

Ah, it looks like this hasn't been approved. I'll check what the hold-up is.

Scott,
I've tried several times to get this to work. The files never seem to show up in my sitemap but the importer seems to count down to show that the XML file has imported. Is there a way to look in the database to see if the importer is creating a bunch of junk files? I'm new to concrete so I don't know if I don't see it in the sitemap it doesn't exist.
