Incoming files won't delete

It's not a huge deal as I can still delete via FTP but one thing I've noticed since upgrading to 5.5 is that when you add files from the upload multiple --> add incoming and set them to remove files from incoming directory they will no longer actually delete. I don't get any kind of error message they're just still there.
