Inserting static content into blocks

Been developing static sites for 5 years, this is my first in CMS of any type. Install went smoothly, but now I have a very simple, but nicely designed static site that is ready to go. What is the quickest, easiest way to insert this content into C5? My client is antsy and I'm not versed enough in CMS or C5 to be able to bound over the learning curve. It's a four page site plus a blog page. Can I just use the static content as a "background" and overlay the text somehow.

I've attached a file to view the layout without any text or navigation which will go in the left sidebar.

Need help ASAP Please.

Chris

The best way to do that would be to take your static html site and ''concrete-ize' it'. Create a 'Theme' or template for the site as a whole.

This is a good fast intro-http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/designers/make-a-the...

and some chunkier info here-http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/designers/making-a-t...

The static HTML site has been created in Dreamweaver. Should I be zipping the whole site to upload to my directory or just the index page of the site? What if my pages all use the same header, but have slightly different content areas?
