installing updates keeps spinning in PC Chrome

Hi,
I have a client we have recently upgraded to the latest version of Concrete and when the client logs in the installing updates screen keeps spinning endlessly and she cannot really do anything.
Sitting in my office on the Mac I have no such problem.
She is using a PC and running Google Chrome.
