Installing Add-ons...doesn't work

I downloaded and placed the folder in the packages directory as the instructions say to do; when looking at the dashboard and clicking the 'add functionality' tab, the new add-on appears on the right side under the marketplace, but there is no way to 'install' it - instruction say to click the install button, but there isn't one. Please help!

I didn't see the install button in explorer, but when I use firefox the install button shows. Now I am trying to install the gallery but it says I have a directory problem. I need a packages file. If you succeed, let me know how. Thanks, RMEXP.

that sounds quite odd.. have you tried clearing your site from the dashboard? sometime concrete5 doesnt think that something new is in that directory...

Hi Franz, this is the error I get:
The following errors occurred when attempting to process your request:

* Unable to copy directory gallery to /home/rmexp/public_html/packages. Perhaps permissions are set incorrectly or the target directory does not exist.

How do I solve this? I attached a screenprint. Is there a service plan for a hosted site where you take care of all these things for me?

I think this was a simple permissions tweak that had to be performed. I've made the change - could you try installing again?

Thanks very much. It's working. Downloaded and installed. I had to use firefox to see the download button though.

I was able to use FireFox to add the Bookmarking utility but when I tried with Music Player, which was showing in my "Add Functionality" page, having used Add To List from C5 site the day before,I receive this messageFatal error: Cannot redeclare class MusicPackage in /home6/handdrum/public_html/packages/music/controller.php on line 30
needless to say I'm stymied and site building has ground to a halt Any help?

What is this problem?

I tried previously to install.
What file do I edit to make this go away? I am guessing it's due to a previous music add on install from pre-5.3.1.1

If I open the indicated file, line 30 has no content, just "}"

Any help is sooooo appreciated.

I had tried to download it previously and added it to the blocks folder but was surprised when it didn't show up. So i tried to download it using the marketplace tool built in. This is when it gave me the error. When I FTP'd back into the site and deleted the previous "music" folder in blocks, the problem vanished and installed it just fine.

Hope this helps.
