Internet Explorer 11 not displaying properly

I am having trouble with my site not displaying properly in Internet Explorer 11 using Windows 8.1. It displays fine in Google Chrome, Safari and IE11 on Server 2012 R2. It appears to be something to do with columns as the attached screenshots show

I don't have Windows 8.1, but I did test the site in Windows 7 using IE11 and it works as expected.

It works fine on everything but IE11 and Windows 8.1
