Is defualt blog different in Concrete 5.5

I'm trying to better understand the default blog that comes with C5, and i found some youtube videos that are explaining some basic things about the default blog.
But the blog in the video is different, it has pagination, comment area and in general looks nicer. I think it is version 5.4.2 of C5 that is shown in the video.
What happened to the blog in Concrete 5.5, where is pagination, comment form, etc? Do i need to add them on my own, or am i missing something basic here?
