Is the 3rd party add-on showing up in the Dashboard hover still a feature in 5.6?

Reading the documentation for the Dashboard

It shows that add-ons with Dashboard pages should show up in the grey area at the bottom of the dashboard hover. However in our test environment with c5 v5.6.0.2 no add-on are being added to the "hover" Was this feature removed in c5 5.6.x?
